So instead, I’m using this page to highlight causes and organizations to which I have a connection and that help people who need it more than me.

So if you appreciate my content and you’re moved to give, consider:

Central Community House is a source of support and a community home-base for the children, families and seniors living in near east and near south urban neighborhoods of Columbus. Within a full service community center, people of all ages come together to learn, play, share their time and talents, and find assistance in times of need. Children and teens enjoy fun, creative and educational experiences after school and during the summer. From a public computer lab and free community dinners, to parent education and family strengthening, services are designed to aid individuals in living self-sufficiently while adding to the quality of life for all.

The Legal Aid Society of Columbus (LASC), is a nonprofit law firm that provides legal aid in civil matters and ensures access to justice for economically disadvantaged people in Central Ohio through advocacy, education and empowerment. LASC provides essential legal services, such as eviction and housing conditions advocacy, application and qualification for public benefits, consumer protection, domestic violence protection and relief, tax advocacy, and relief from the civil effects of conviction.
